The experience begins with a visit to one of the most famous markets in town, La Boqueria. The market has more than 300 stalls, offering local and exotic products and generating an amazing atmosphere of colors and smells for food lovers. Right at the market, your guide will offer you an Iberian ham tasting and a glass of Cava (Catalan white sparkling wine).
The tour continues with a walk through the Gothic quarter, visiting family-owned delicacy shops where you will taste some of the most typical chocolates, and it can always be a good opportunity to buy a gastronomic souvenir.
Then, your guide takes you to visit another market called Mercat de Santa Caterina. In this case, this market represents very well how non-touristy the city is. In this way, you can discover the local way of life and get closer to their culture. In Santa Caterina, you will get a Spanish olive tasting, discovering different types and varieties.
